53 PW rear springs

I am replacing the rear springs, any tips for removing the pin. I have the keeper bolt out, wire wheeled the shackle applied heat and grabbed the grease zerk with vice grips while pounding on the vice grips. I have driven a chisel into the split to open shackle, raised and lowered the axle to try and find the sweet "loose" spot with no movement yet.
