Stick with split rims. Absolutely nothing wrong with them & if your tire guy won’t mount them then for sure you need a new tire guy. My only rule of thumb with split rims is I blast them while they’re apart. You want to make sure it’s nice & clean in the groove the ring sits in. A tire shop will wire wheel but I’m just more comfortable with nice clean & a coat of paint or two.
The only advantage for a non split rim is you can run a
tubless tire & lose the weight of the tire & flap but on a power wagon…that’s not gonna really help you :)
