I have had both coil and condenser failures on my 3/4 ton WC.
Coil: The engine would stall and not start after it warmed up. I felt the coil and it was very very hot. If your stranded with a bad coil, put a bag of ice on it and you can get yourself closer to home. I replaced the coil and she ran perfectly.
Condenser: The engine would start sputtering and bucking under increased load. In my case going up a hill. The problem got worse until the vehicle wouldn't start anymore. Replace condenser and she ran perfect. Only condensers that seem available are either made in Mexico or China and the failure rate is rather high, some right out of the box. I heard that Accel are good but have never tried one.
