Okay. I just found something.

I decided to try to see if the points are grounded when they are closed (they should be of course). The '47 is good - both points grounded when closed.

The '51 - not so much. The stationary point is grounded. The articulating point is not.....

Apparently even thought they are closed, and adjusted to .020 clearance when open, they are not actually touching. Hard to see by eye.

So, I am going to either install ANOTHER set of new points, or I am going to take out the current new set and bend them into submission until they touch when closed...
