One of the major ways your house can catch fire when wildfires are near by. It’s the gutters as they are often filled with dry needles. Embers will land on the roof and roll down into the gutters. That sets the gutters off then the soffit then into the attic. It really makes little difference if your roof is fire resistant or proof. The gutters are a tinder box waiting for the smallest spark. I almost put a sprinkler system along the ridge of my roof. This would hopefully keep the roof and gutters wet.
