I believe that the steering arm on the driver's side of the dana 60 front axle normally has studs and uses tapered lock washers to hold that arm in place. The tapered lock washer eliminates any wiggle room in the bolt holes. Otherwise, you end up with movement back and forth, which is no good when it comes to steering. Best case, it will be constantly coming loose, worst case, the bolts shear off. Doug
