A friend of mine told me of a man he knew years ago.The man was paralyzed from the neck down. He was strapped to a stretcher and they would lean him against a wall so he could attend his place of worship and talk with people. His usual reply when people asked him how he was doing: "If I was any better I couldn't stand it".
