I have information written and pictuired by Todd Somers and forwarded to be by John Petroff about bed board measurements that call for four center boards that are 13/16 thick, 97 3/4 long and 7 5/8 wide. However on the factory original bolt holes in the bed cross members, the distance between the holes appears to call for boards that are 7 3/4 wide (allowing for through bolts for the skid strips). Not a significant difference between the two measurements but enough so I am asking. Were there differences between bed board widths coming from the factory or should I recut my bed boards to the 7 5/8 to allow for possible expansion and cover the wider gap with the skid strips?
