Iowa still has the $7.25 per hour and if they are chained hotels, hotels in other states where wages have significantly increased for hotel workers, they're passing the increase to other states. CA is $22.50 currently an set to increase to $27.50 in July of this year. LA is pushing to get $50.00 bucks an hour if past. If those hotels are own by 5 star hotels that housed illegals and having to repair property damage, they're probably passing the cost to their chains. Rates typically increase during summer months tourist season anyway. Tariffs may have had some impact if linen is made in foreign counties. Hotels are also having to deal with the resurgence of Bed Bugs! Driving for a day trip might not be a bad thing.
