Yep, I guess a boiler had a blow-off valve for preventing excessive pressure, I don't know. We replaced boilers with diesel tractors that moved faster creating dust that caused lung issues, then cable dozers and scrapers were developed killing operators when cables broke, or when equipment rollover on operators, and finally in 1970 OSHA standards appeared which made operating equipment much safer. Todays equipment is very safe to operate and a lot easier along with comfort.
