Transfer Case Mounting Questions

I have an early 1946 WDX with bronze transfer case brackets. I understand that in 1951 the transfer case mounts were modified to improve propeller shaft angle. Can anyone say what the changes were? Are the brackets different in design or height/thickness? Or is the case itself different? Did the change angle the case up or down in front? Thanks.
