In addition to Scott's good advice, after you've got the headliner dry fitted with an assistant to about where it will end up being as to front to back and side to side, get two small brads, and cut off the head end leaving the points. place one in each hole where the roof top attachments are, with the point "sticking out".
Then push the headliner up against them and they will thus transfer the mark exactly where the screws need to go to hold the top of the headliner up.
