I made a ring out of wire to make sure the rim is centered on the machine and for this rim it will take two weights off-center of the cut to balance it. I'll have to cut some off to compensate for the welds, and I'll have to make more weights from 3/4 round stock so this project is going to take some time. Hopefully the ride will be nice when done.
