A truly rare find - This 1951 Dodge Power Wagon has been garaged nearly it’s entire life, and has no rust! It started out life as a utility truck (I think for Bell Telephone). After a time, it was acquired by the East Brunswick NJ Brookview Volunteer Fire Department, where it was converted and used as a Brush Truck for nearly 50 years. It was then acquired by my family and was repaired.
The fire company bed was modified to remove the water tank, pump, and hose reel, and the sides cut down, and the whole truck was repainted.
PTO Winch works great.
Custom puncture-proof steel gas tank.
It retains many of the “modifications” imparted while driving through the woods to accomplish its fire-fighting mission! :-)
Everything works presently, except the gas level gauge is not connected electrically. It is licensed, and on the road.
Clear NJ Title VIN 83924983.
