According to Military Specs.:
- X = On/off road
- Z = All Position
- L = 80% off-road, 20% on-road use
XL - Best for mud
XZL - Varied terrains including snow, sand, mud, and highway.
Due to the large pads neither tire are real good on snow and ice. Sniping the tire may help provide some additional grip.
